CITRIC ACID 40%

COMPOSITION:

40% citric acid solution.

INTENDED USE

• The preparation is used during endodontic treatment for rinsing root canals.
• It improves mechanical cleaning of the root canal.
• It removes smear layer from the walls of root canal exposing the dentinal tubules. It allows for precise cleansing of dentinal tubules from pulp debris and precise sealant penetration.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

• Do not use the product for patients with hypersensitivity to the product’s components. Do not leave the product in the canal or the tooth cavity between visits. This may result in excessive softening of dentin.
• Do not use sodium hypochlorite immediately after rinsing with citric acid or vice versa, as it may adversely affect dentin microhardness.

WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS

• Special care should be taken when the product is applied into perforations.
• It irritates the eyes. It may cause respiratory irritation. In case of contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
• Endodontic treatment may involve temporary postoperative pain. Use a cofferdam, disposable gloves, safety goggles/visors and protective clothing when handling the product.
• The dispenser is not designed to draw fluids from the root canal.
• THE DISPENSER IS NOT INTENDED FOR STORING LIQUIDS!
• The adapter included in the package is intended for use exclusively with the CITRIC ACID 40% bottle it was supplied with. The adapter should only be installed on the bottle during dental treatment with CITRIC ACID 40%.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Any serious incident involving the product should be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authority of the country of user’s or patient’s residence.

STORAGE

Store in the original packaging at a temperature below 25°C in an upright position. If unused product needs to be stored, remove the adapter and tightly close the bottle with the original cap.

SHAKE BEFORE USE!

• Expiry date is placed on the main container.
• Once the container is open, the expiry date doesn’t change if it the container is securely closed after each use.

HANDLING THE PRODUCT CONTAINER

Empty containers should be disposed of responsibly or returned to the manufacturer.

Bottle of 200 g or 400 g of preparation, adapter with a screw cap, dispenser.
